Seven Days of Gratitude: Day 3

SHINING LIGHT

Day 3: Movement

Dear friends,

Welcome to day 3 of the Seven Days of Gratitude. If you missed day 1 or day 2, it’s not too late to join in on the fun. This year has been tough– that said, there is still so much to be grateful for. I encourage you to join us on this gratitude journey.

Please share your gratitude reflections via posts and stories with #7daysofgratitude and tag us. As always, I am grateful for you. I hope those of you outside of the United States participate and share in why so many of us love the holiday of Thanksgiving.

Wishing all of you a beautiful season of gratitude.

DAY 3: MOVEMENT

Every year, “movement” makes it onto my list. Every day that I move, I am so grateful for that ability to do so. It’s such a gift. I take walks every day, and do some pilates. There is nothing like that feeling you get when you are leaving the mat after a good workout.

The condition of our bodies affects our minds, and our minds connect us to God. I find the mind-body connection so important and underrated. Scripture is clear about this connection. It tells us that God dwells in us. We have the privilege of hosting the Holy Spirit within us. We have been bought with a price.

“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” 1 Cor. 6: 19-20

There are so many fun ways to move. How do you take care of your body? What effects has this movement had on your mind and soul? Don’t forget to move, today.
