Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: I am currently studying the People of the Promised Land through Bible Study Fellowship, and the book of Joshua is fascinating to me!
Spiritual growth focus at the moment: I would love to have a greater understanding of the Old Testament.
Profession: Stay-at-home mom and Beautycounter consultant.
A one sentence bio of yourself: Christ-follower, wife, mother, daughter and friend who loves football, the beach, and as much Mexican food as I can stuff into my belly.
When did you first encounter God and how did you encounter Him? I was blessed to be raised in the church from a very young age and recall many wonderful times at camp where I felt so close to God; it was as if He was physically there with us.
What has helped you grow spiritually in this season? My family and I joined a local Christian, faith-based gym call Trinity Fitness that has strengthened not only our physical bodies but our relationships with Christ.
Just read/currently reading (and what has it taught you?): I wish I had more time to read! Right now I am working on the BSF study I mentioned above so I’m mostly reading the Bible and nothing much else.
Top three essentials: Jesus, coffee, air conditioning (we’re in FL, it’s always hot, here).
How did God speak to you recently? I recently felt God pushing me towards becoming a trainer at Trinity Fitness, and my husband and I actually just completed our certification. When we train, we not only help with exercises, but we pray for the warriors (that is what we call the participants) and give a <5 minute devotion.
“When we train, we not only help with exercises but we pray for the warriors.”
Hobby: Working out and playing with makeup.
Top three practical tips for staying spiritually strong: Stay in the Word, listen to Christian radio and talk to God throughout the day.
Favorite person in scripture? James.
What do you want people to learn about God when they look at you? That He is loving and kind.
Favorite season? Fall.
Favorite holiday? Easter – He is Risen!!
A dream you have? Does dreaming of going to any tropical island count? Ha!
A special tradition you and your family engage in or keep: Matching cousin PJs at my mom’s house, on Christmas Eve.
Question you will ask when you get to heaven? I don’t think I’ll be able to form a single word, let alone a sentence. I’ll be in complete awe.
Thing you want to raise awareness about: Melanoma. Please visit your dermatologist annually no matter what your age is, especially if you ever used tanning beds!
What do you usually do before 9 a.m.? Drink coffee, eat breakfast, and gets the kids and myself ready for the day. Also, get my son to school.
What is on your nightstand? A picture of me and my bridesmaids, a picture of me and three of my friends who cheered with me in the NFL, a lamp, and a sisterhood quote my sister gave me. ❤️
Define Christianity in a sentence: Believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior of the world and putting your faith and trust in Him!
