Seven Days of Gratitude: Day 7

SHINING LIGHT
DAY 7: The Unseen
By: Gabriela Yareliz Gonzalez, Editor of Modern Witnesses
Dear sisters,
Thank you for doing this gratitude challenge, with us and for sharing. I hope that along the way you suddenly thought about things in a way you never had, before. I hope you will be encouraged to continue highlighting that which seems small, and celebrating all gifts and all achievements. God is so good.
This list may seem odd, but in some ways, I think it is one of the most important ones. Maybe, without some of these things, we wouldn’t even be alive, reading this together, in this moment.
I pray that no matter what comes your way, that you will frame things with gratitude, always knowing that there is a God who is working things out for your good (which is your salvation).
As always, I encourage you to make your own list, today. If you feel so inclined, share with us in the comments or on our Instagram post. Even if you don’t make your own list, I hope some of these things, as simple as they may seem, remind you and me of just how blessed we really are.
xx

Running late
I am a stickler for time. I am usually early. And if I am on time, I usually already feel late. Sometimes, when I am running late (usually thanks to public transport), I think about the fact that I don’t know what I may be spared from in that moment. In life, every minute and every second can make all the difference. So, thank you, God, for all the times I was late. Even when I was frustrated. I know there are many times when I have no idea what I barely missed. Next time you are stuck in traffic, think of that.
Angels/ protection
Extending the prior list item, protection. There are many things I know I was protected from, and so grateful for all that I do not know. Our angels work overtime.

Healing
There is often no rhyme or reason to it. I praise God that we can make certain adjustments to our lifestyle, diet and mindset, and He can provide us with healing. He not only heals us physically, but He heals our hearts. He is the master healer.
Peace
There are certain things that when we ask for them, scripture promises we will receive them. Things like: forgiveness, wisdom and peace. God’s peace helps us make decisions, and it is completely supernatural. To me, it is the equivalent of feeling His embrace.
Worth
Sometimes, I see that phrase all over Instagram: You are enough. And we are enough. We forget the other half. We are enough because He loves us. Because He was enough. Without Him, there is no good thing in us.
It is always said that a thing’s value is reflected in what someone is willing to pay for it. Jesus paid it all.

Inspiration/ creativity
It comes and it goes, but it colors our lives and adds beauty. I am grateful for the talent He gives each member of the body of Christ and the power of that when it is shared.
MAKE YOUR LIST
My sweet friends, keep making your lists, and keep praising Him for all He has done, all He is doing, and all He will do.
Remember to not just keep a blessing, but to always share it.
