Casie G.

Today, Casie speaks to us about her miraculous healing and the moment she knew God had a plan for her life.

Tell us a bit about how you grew up and your childhood: My childhood was actually very traumatic, at times. I grew up with an abusive father, as well as an alcoholic. My mother and grandparents were our rock.

Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert,” (Isaiah 43:19) and “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end,” (Jeremiah 29:11).

Spiritual growth focus at the moment: Just to go deeper with God and to be all that God has called me to be.

Profession/Mission: I am a full-time minister of the gospel; my mission is to win souls for the Kingdom of God. Souls are gold in the Kingdom of God.

When did you first encounter God and how did you encounter Him? My first encounter with God was July 22,2002 at Falls Creek church camp. I had a tumor in my back, and the pastor had me lay my hand on the tumor as he laid his hand on mine and prayed, and it disappeared in Jesus’ name. Then, I was filled with the Joy of the Lord and baptized [with] the Holy Ghost.

How would you describe Jesus? My everything. My very best friend.

How has your relationship with Him changed you? It has changed so much for the better. He TRULY LOVES ME!

What has been the darkest time in your life, and how did you see God in it? The darkest time in my life was when I was suicidal. I put my phone in the living room away from me went to my room shut the door and locked it and actually held a gun to my head, on my bed tears flowing down my face. Somehow, my husband’s best friend called and my daughter got in my room. I immediately put the gun down, and the gun disappeared. I knew for a fact in that moment God sent an angel to unlock the door and then to take the gun because God had a plan for my life!

“I knew for a fact in that moment God sent an angel to unlock the door and then to take the gun because God had a plan for my life!”

What has helped you grow spiritually in this season? My community of brothers and sisters have helped me tremendously, and fully relying on God to lead me in all things

Just read/currently reading (and what has it taught you?): The book of Esther. It has taught me that no matter what it cost me, I have counted the cost just as Esther did. I will do what God has called me to do because we are chosen for such a time as this. (Esther 4:14)

Top three essentials: KJV Holy Bible, Blue Letter bible, Strong’s Concordance.

How did God speak to you recently? He speaks to me a lot through dreams and visions.

Hobby: To care for the youth.

Top three practical tips for staying spiritually strong: Allow yourself to rest and give yourself grace stay connected to a strong community of believers that are strong in the Lord as well because your circle really does matter; having a circle of warriors really does make the difference.

Favorite person in scripture? Thats hard. Isaiah and Esther, but I also love the story of Mary Magdalene.

What do you want people to learn about God when they look at you? I just want people to see Jesus not me; I want them to know His LOVE.

How do you engage with your community? Evangelizing and feeding the homeless, praying over people as led by the Holy Spirit, and helping the elderly.

A goal you have? My goal is to travel nationwide and spread the gospel with my family.

Question you will ask when you get to heaven? Can I see all the babies?

Thing you want to raise awareness about: I want to raise awareness to mental health and suicide prevention.

What does your morning routine consist of? Waking up and immediately getting into prayer and worship and reading the word of God (spiritual food).

What is on your nightstand? My Bible, keys, water, notepad and pen.
