Day 5: Weeping
Dear friends,
Welcome to day 5 of the Seven Days of Gratitude. If you have missed previous days, it’s not too late to join in on the fun. I encourage you to join us on this gratitude journey.
Please share your gratitude reflections via posts and stories with #7daysofgratitude and tag us. As always, I am grateful for you. I hope those of you outside of the United States participate and share in why so many of us love the holiday of Thanksgiving.
Wishing all of you a beautiful season of gratitude.

DAY 5: WEEPING
You may be asking yourself, why are we including weeping in the days of gratitude. With weeping, I include anything that serves to soften our hearts. To have our hearts be soft is what makes us receptive, tender, compassionate and human, in the best way. It is a way of reflecting who God is.
Did you know there are different types of tears? Did you know sad or emotional tears have “more stress hormones and natural painkillers than other kinds of tears”? (Source)
I found great comfort in reading sad true stories in this past year and simply taking the time to journal and cry when I felt moved. It was a great release for me.
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” Matthew 5:4
What softened your heart, this year? What allowed you to weep?
