Tell us a bit about how you grew up and your childhood: My name is Brynn. I grew up in a Catholic household, never really getting a understanding of Christ. I dreaded going to church and after I made my confirmation, my parents gave me the choice on what I wanted to practice. I didn’t go to a church for a year, and then I started going to a nondenominational Christian church. Since then, my relationship with Jesus grows every day.

Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: The Widow’s Offering in Mark 12 will always be my favorite because the theme of the story is something that I feel everyone should know.

Spiritual growth focus at the moment: Just growing my relationship with Jesus overall, and learning more about the Bible.

If you wrote a memoir, what would the title be? From The Bottom Up

When did you first encounter God and how did you encounter Him? Like I said, in the Catholic Church, I never felt connected to God. So I’d say that I first encountered Him in fall of 2018, just by going to church and feeling a connection.

What has helped you grow spiritually in this season? BIBLE! READ. READ. READ! It is everything we need to know.

Just read/currently reading (and what has it taught you?): I am reading Overcoming Anxiety, Worry, and Fear by Gregory L. Jantz. It has taught me so much about turning to God with my fears and letting Him take control; He knows better than me.

Top three essentials: iPhone/ computer for research, Bible, and pen.

How did God speak to you recently? God has spoken to me in times of stress and [in]friendship problems, just telling me to have a kind heart and everything will work out how He plans.

Hobby: Gymnastics, cheerleading, yoga, and spin class!

Top three practical tips for staying spiritually strong: Read your Bible, talk to other Christian friends, PRAY!

Favorite person in scripture? John.

What do you want people to learn about God when they look at you? I want people to know how unbelievably loving our God is to all.

How do you leave your mark on your community? I leave my mark by teaching others about scripture, and just always being kind.

Favorite holiday? My favorite holiday has got to be Easter. He has risen!

A goal you have? My goal is to one day have read and marked up every page in my Bible.

A special tradition you and your family engage in or keep: One of my favorite family traditions is making cinnamon buns with our family Christmas morning.

Question you will ask when you get to heaven? What did I do right?

Thing you want to raise awareness about: The environment. We, the people, are single handedly killing God’s planet.

What does your morning routine consist of? Coffee, making my bed, my puppy, and just getting up and ready for the day!

What is on your nightstand? Chapstick, a scrunchie, a book, and a pen.

Define Christianity in a sentence: Loving God with your entire mind, body, and soul.
