Dalia F.

Today, Dalia speaks to us about relationships, faith for healing, and her passion for languages.
Tell us a bit about how you grew up and your childhood: My name is Dalia, and I was raised in a strict, non-Christian home. I grew up with extreme low self-confidence and hungered to be loved, especially by someone of the opposite sex. My whole life, I felt like a failure and I especially felt like something was wrong with me when I couldn’t get any ounce of attention from the guys. My whole goal in life was that of finding someone, anyone to love me, cherish me and hold me.
Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: Proverbs 3:5a. I have turned it into a prayer, most recently, under my breath when the negative thoughts try to bombard my life, I find myself repeating over and over: ‘Lord, I trust in You with all my heart’…
Spiritual growth focus at the moment: Faith for healing. I am convinced that there’s more healing, more health… because of what Jesus did on the cross.
Profession: Author. I am currently working on a trilogy about faith in believing for a husband.
If you wrote a memoir, what would the title be? The Extreme Faith of an Everyday Girl.
When did you first encounter God and how did you encounter Him? I witnessed my brother fall like a sack of potatoes and go into a seizure. I had never witnessed that, nor had he ever experienced that before. En route to the ER, under my breath I prayed a simple prayer, “God, if You are real, and there is nothing wrong with my brother, I will go to church every Sunday for the rest of my life.” The test results: Normal. Then and there started my journey of faith. That was over 16 years ago.
What has helped you grow spiritually in this season? The confession of THE WORD of GOD to renew my mind to believe and ultimately receive His promises for my life.
Just read/currently reading (and what has it taught you?): Boundaries by Dr. Cloud and Dr. Townsend. [It] taught me the importance of healthy boundaries, and also that it’s ok to say no AND that I should also be respectful of other people’s boundaries and their no’s.
How did God speak to you recently? Asked me to step down from a secure full-time beauty salon business. I don’t have all the details of my next step, but I am sharing this journey on IG, so go and follow, and I will update as God brings me into the next things.
Hobby: Learning Portuguese.
Top three practical tips for staying spiritually strong: Plug into a solid church home, counsel, and invest time with God regularly.
Favorite person in scripture? Jesus. Because every victory I have had in my life has been because of His blood, especially my healing.
“Every victory I have had in my life has been because of His blood, especially my healing.”
What do you want people to learn about God when they look at you? That God is real, and we can have a life that is full of peace and healing.
“We can have a life that is full of peace and healing.”
Favorite holiday? Christmas.
A goal you have? To speak multiple languages, fluently.
Thing you want to raise awareness about: The healing power of Jesus Christ. It’s ours – it really is!
What does your morning routine consist of? 1) Open my eyes; 2) Knees hit the ground; 3) Turn off alarm; 4) Brush my teeth; 5) Time with God.
What is on your nightstand? Two Bibles, picture of the family and a lamp.
Define Christianity in a sentence: The same power that raised Christ from the dead is in me.
