Chloe B.

Today, Chloe talks to us about how God inspired her to start Missions Trend and how if we call ourselves followers of Christ, we must live for Him.

Chloe B.

Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: “At this time Moses was born; and he was beautiful in God’s sight. And he was brought up for three months in his father’s house, and when he was exposed, Pharaoh’s daughter adopted him and brought him up as her own son.” Acts 7:20-21 ESV

Spiritual growth focus at the moment: Just living for Him the best that I can! Also doing everything with eyes lifted to Jesus.

Profession: I’m a student, but I founded Missions Trend. It is a nonprofit organization, where all proceeds go towards missions in foreign countries.

A one sentence bio of yourself: Organized, perfectionist, photography, fashion and still learning what God has planned for me

When did you first encounter God and how did you encounter Him? I was adopted from China and have grown up in a Christian home my whole life. Going to church every Sunday, working in ministries and volunteering whenever they need help. Only recently have I really been living for God and understanding how much He does for each and everyone of us.

What has helped you grow spiritually in this season? Seeing how much my family and I have but realizing that it isn’t about the material things in life but relationships you make.

“It isn’t about the material things in life but relationships you make.”

Just read/currently reading (and what has it taught you?): I’m reading Acts, and it has so far taught me that God has placed us on this earth with a purpose, and we may or may not know what it is but live with an open heart.

Top three essentials: Family, Bible and friendship.

How did God speak to you recently? He touched my heart with starting Missions Trend.

Hobby: Baking, cooking, listening to music, planning things, taking photos.

Top three practical tips for staying spiritually strong: Keep your eyes on God; Have relationships that help with your faith; Have someone keep you accountable.

Favorite person in scripture? Esther because she was given a task from God and was scared, but she still listened and was humble.

What do you want people to learn about God when they look at you? To see His light shining through, wondering, “How is she so different?” and [I hope they] ask me, so I can tell them about His amazing love.

How do you leave your mark on your community? I work with my church in the background and get to see how something so “little” like setting up a train set can bring so much joy to people.

“I work with my church in the background and get to see how something so “little” like setting up a train set can bring so much joy to people.”

Favorite holiday? Definitely Christmas because I love giving gifts and decorating everything

A dream you have? I want to own my own successful business and show that I only got there because of God.

A special tradition you and your family engage in or keep: Every day, during dinner, we eat together and do devotions.

Question you will ask when you get to heaven? How can you love people so much, who have turned their backs to you?

Thing you want to raise awareness about: Everyone has a purpose in life, and they are fearfully and wonderfully made.

What do you usually do before 9 a.m.? I’m homeschooled, so I get up around 9 and do school.

What is on your nightstand? Glass of water, journal and Bible, and chapstick.

Define Christianity in a sentence: Well, I don’t think the right words are Christianity, but followers of Christ because most people in the world say they are Christians, but they do not live for God. Anyways, I think Christianity is a religion about believing that Jesus Christ is the Savior, and God sent Him to save us all. But I am not totally sure because I learn every day a new point of view on how people should live for God.

“Well, I don’t think the right words are Christianity, but followers of Christ because most people in the world say they are Christians, but they do not live for God.”
