Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: “When Aaron and all the Israelites saw Moses, his face was radiant, and they were afraid to come near him.” Exodus 34:30. The more time Moses spent with God, the more glory was evident over his face. He was radiant and people were afraid to come near him. Sometimes, people will be afraid of your calling, but keep pressing in, keep pushing through, anyway. Moses did this, and he received so much favor from God.
“Sometimes, people will be afraid of your calling, but keep pressing in, keep pushing through, anyway.”
Spiritual growth focus at the moment: Being bold and courageous.
Profession: Full time Analyst, part time blogger.
A one sentence bio of yourself: I’m an ordinary person, trying to show people how to connect to God in every aspect of their life.
When did you first encounter God and how did you encounter Him? Long story short- It was 5 and half years ago, I was 30 years old, in my living room, high on ecstasy, with a Lyft driver in my house. My best friend had come by to check up on me after my sister had called her, and the moment she came and said “God is speaking to you,” the Holy Spirit hit me, and I was on a different high.
“The Holy Spirit hit me, and I was on a different high.”
What has helped you grow spiritually in this season? Fasting. I did the Whole30 for 40 days. More writing, and speaking on social media what lays on my heart.
Just read/currently reading (and what has it taught you?): I’m reading the whole Bible in a year, so that has been my focus. I’m currently in Leviticus… which has challenged me in some ways. Part of it is understanding the culture during that time, and the other part is realizing how specific God was in His instructions. I believe every believer can receive specific instructions for his/her life.
Top three essentials: Worship music, journal/pen, Bible.
How did God speak to you recently? Through close friends and family. He has shown me where I’ve come and where I am now. It’s such a blessing to know where I used to be, and how different I am now.
Hobby: Modern Calligraphy, and singing in the shower.
Top three practical tips for staying spiritually strong: Get some spiritual sisters you can talk/pray with, praise God daily, discern the enemy’s voice.
Favorite person in scripture? The Samaritan woman at the well. She was a woman who did not know her value/worth, slept with different men, but one day Jesus gives her a word of knowledge about her life, and after that she testified to the whole community about who HE is. I relate to her story.
What do you want people to learn about God when they look at you? I want them to see Jesus through me. He is the way, the truth and the life. I want them to see themselves through Jesus’ lens.
How do you leave your mark on your community? I want the community to know they can have conversations with God throughout the day. It doesn’t always have to be a formal prayer. God delights when we bring everything to Him– our quirks, our praises, our complaints, our questions. He wants to hear about them all! That is why I created the Godversations video series.
Favorite holiday? Does my birthday count? Honestly though, my new favorite holiday is the Jewish New Year Rosh Hashanah. It marks a time of transition where new divine assignments are given and things of the old start to phase out. I spiritually sense this now, and it marks a new beginning every year.
“It marks a time of transition where new divine assignments are given and things of the old start to phase out.”
A dream you have? My kids are young and my husband is a pre-believer, but I dream one day we will all worship Jesus together as a family.
A special tradition you and your family engage in or keep: We haven’t created any traditions for ourselves yet. Both my husband and I came from broken families. With two kids, 3 and under, we are hoping to gain new traditions soon!
Question you will ask when you get to heaven? Can I go see the Garden of Eden?
Thing you want to raise awareness about: I want to teach parents why they need to raise godly men. Our culture has stripped away the man’s right to his feelings…they have made a man’s worth tied to his earnings and his power, or the number of women he’s slept with. If we raise godly men, we can start to end human trafficking, we can teach men to respect a woman’s body and her feelings. We need to teach men to have heart. Lisa Bevere and Havilah Cunnington have created an amazing course. Perhaps that is why God gifted me with two boys. I want to continue to teach what they are teaching to parents out there.

What do you usually do before 9 a.m.? Making myself tea.
What is on your nightstand? Journal, Bible, phone, baby monitor, water.
Define Christianity in a sentence: Loving on Jesus first and foremost, and the rest will come later.
