Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: “Now my beloved ones, I have saved these most important truths for last: Be supernaturally infused with strength through your life-union with the Lord Jesus. Stand victorious with the force of his explosive power flowing in and through you. Put on God’s complete set of armor provided for us, so that you will be protected as you fight against the evil strategies of the accuser. Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms. For they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage. Because of this, you must wear all the armor that God provides so that you’re protected as you confront the slanderer, for you are destined for all things and will rise victorious!” Ephesians 6:10-13 (The Passion Translation)

Spiritual growth focus at the moment: The battle really isn’t against flesh or blood, or anyone I come into contact with but against the powers of darkness. For example, when I have a conflict with my husband, I can see him as my enemy and fight with him, or I can see the true enemy, the devil and pray with my husband through our situations.

When I might feel anxiety arise in my heart, am I going to believe the lies? NO. I must take captive my thoughts, not give leeway to the devil, stand my ground in the truth, and guard my heart against the attack. We must fight not from a victim mentality, but put on the armor and prepare for victory with whatever is thrown at us! Take action, just like Jesus did when the Holy Spirit led him to the desert to be tempted by the devil. He asked are you really the Son of God? Jesus fought back with the Word of God. He didn’t just sit there and pounder on the attack of the enemy! He didn’t live in reaction to the devil, He lived in response to the Father. He opened his mouth and spoke the truth! God said we are Victors. I am learning to live as one. He has been teaching me to see and live victoriously from His perspective and truth, and not to be shaken from the circumstances of my life.

“When I have a conflict with my husband, I can see him as my enemy and fight with him, or I can see the true enemy, the devil and pray with my husband through our situations.”

A one sentence bio of yourself: I am passionate about equipping a generation of women to live out their purpose and be themselves fully in love with God.

“God said we are victors. I am learning to live as one.”

When did you first encounter God? I have always been aware of God at a young age. I started to really encounter God’s presence when I was battling anxiety. He was and is my strength in my weakness.

What has helped you grow spiritually in this season? The key to growing spiritually in every season, I believe, is staying disciplined in intimacy with God. Another important key is to go through the season whether it be hard or easy. We must stay not skip or rush the process.  There is purpose in every season. As the chapter of James speaks of, when our faith is tested, it produces endurance, steadfastness, and patience. Our faith will be tested but as we let steadfastness, endurance, and patience have full play and do a thorough work in us, it develops us with no defects lacking in nothing.

Just read/currently reading (and what has it taught you?): Victorious Emotions by Wendy Backlund. Just to give you a taste of the book, one of my favorite quotes was, “Jesus leads us into triumph. If your thoughts do not lead you into triumph, then Jesus is not the one leading you.” What a man thinks he is. (Proverbs 23:7) I am constantly renewing my mind because what we think, we become. I can’t afford to have a thought in my mind that He doesn’t have in His mind about me.

“I can’t afford to have a thought in my mind that He doesn’t have in His mind about me.”

Top three essentials: God, The Passion Translation Bible, and green smoothies/juices.

How did God speak to you recently? God spoke to me recently about rushing. Rushing is NOT a fruit of the spirit. It manifests stress, anxiety, worry, and fear. It’s not a part of God’s Kingdom. Is God really in a hurry like we are at times? This world is at a fast pace, and we must slow down and be patient to wait on Him. Are we being guided by Him when we are rushed? Patience is trusting in God FULLY. It is good fruit that manifests joy and peace. His kindness and patience lead us to repentance, not Him rushing us. Patience is a part of who He is. It must be a part of us, as well. Don’t rush; trust in Him and His ways!

Hobby:Making new recipes, writing, and being active.

Top three practical tips for staying spiritually strong: I highly recommend the book Strengthening Yourself in The Lord by Bill Johnson.

It has given me practical and powerful tools on how to be strong and walk with God in ALL seasons of life!

  1. Intimacy with God. Look to God for all things; get in His Word,it’s alive. Stay in His presence. God is the secret.
  2. Learn to strengthen yourself just like David did. To live in courage requires encouragement, and sometimes the only one to encourage you is you.
  3. Believe and walk in the promises of God over your life, pass the tests and trails that come, even when your circumstances seem to completely oppose and deny your destiny. There is purpose in the process. It strengthens, matures, produces good fruit, and grows us. Be faithful.

Favorite person in scripture? I absolutely love David. He was fully dependent on God. He encouraged Himself, when no one else was around. His walk with God encourages me, because we all go through a season where it may be lonely, or it may seem like our friends aren’t as present…but that doesn’t mean God isn’t near! He is! It doesn’t mean we are disconnected from the body of Christ but what it does mean is when it feels like we are standing alone in a difficult time, we must arise to mature and grow. We must learn to encourage and strengthen ourselves. God knew David would succeed as a leader because he took the initiative to seek Him in the secret place. He was truly a man after God’s own heart.

What do you want people to learn about God when they look at you? When people look at me I want them to see and encounter the power, love, and freedom of God. I want them to know that He is real and authentic. He believes in you wholeheartedly and wants the best for your life. He chases after your heart, and He is jealous for you!

I also want them to see how the power of His Word transformed my life completely when I thought there was no way. If it can happen to me, it can happen to you! He is ABLE to do ALL THINGS and NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM! He is The Miracle Worker!

Favorite season? It’s a tie between summer and fall.

Favorite holiday? I enjoy Thanksgiving because I love cooking up new things for the people I love!

A special tradition you and your family engage in or keep: We’ve always made it a point to make cookies every Christmas, and I very much love doing that.

Question you will ask when you get to heaven? I will ask him about the authority He gave us to raise the dead, to heal the sick, and to cast out demons. Why is it that this power didn’t fully manifest at certain times or situations when I used His name or others did?

Thing you want to raise awareness about: I want to raise awareness about healing and being yourself fully, in Christ. In the Bible, heal means to make whole or well. In Christ, we must not only be healthy spiritually, but emotionally and physically as well. He desires us to be whole. God has called me to lift the veil so you can see yourself and Him fully. Whatever that veil may be: anxiety, depression, sin, shame, guilt, condemnation, lies from the enemy– you name it… Jesus has torn the veil and many of us have put a veil on hindering us from walking powerfully in who we are in Him and what He has called us to. I am here to empower and equip you and to be His Beloved Bride.

What do you usually do before 9 a.m.? Before 9a.m., on most days I like to work out, spend time in the sauna, and get in God’s presence whether that be reading the word, journaling, worship, or prayer. I need direction and wisdom for each and every day.

Define Christianity in a sentence: Christianity is a lifestyle of loving God, and allowing God to fully love you so you can display all of who He is in and through you to touch the world.
