Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: “So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.”

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Spiritual growth focus at the moment: Having a strong relationship with God, so I am not easily swayed, but always aligned with God in that way I know when He’s talking from near or afar.

Profession: I’m currently a paralegal major, who will later branch off into criminal law or psychology.

A one sentence bio of yourself: Though I may fall, I never give up, so I’ll never lose.

“Though I may fall, I never give up, so I’ll never lose.”

When did you first encounter God? Well, I always grew up in the church, but I really found God at 18, when all was lost within me, and I hit rock bottom and that’s when I knew I had a friend in Jesus.

What has helped you grow spiritually in this season? What has helped me grow spiritually in this season would be, being aware of what I’m inviting into my spirit whether music, tv, social media— What am I allowing to fill my spirit? Is it making me live through my flesh or is it pushing me to live through my spirit?

“Is it making me live through my flesh or is it pushing me to live through my spirit?”

Just read/currently reading: I just recently started back reading, so my current is Walking Wisely by Charles Stanley, and I’ve been making it a priority to read the Bible every night, so I’m on Colossians, at the moment.

Top three essentials: Ahh, top three essentials… I would say my pearl earrings— I’m obsessed with pearls ! My purity ring and coffee.

How did God speak to you recently? Recently, I’ve been learning if I’m operating through my fleshy desires or my spirit, but I’m currently in a silent season so God hasn’t really spoken, just yet.

Hobby: I love taking walks and ending up at a coffee spot with a good book and loads of conversation with my best friend  (God).

Top three practical tips for staying spiritually strong: Three ways to stay strong: Learning to hear God’s voice; finding worship music that fits YOU, so your praise to Him is intentional, personal and real!

Favorite person in scripture?Hmmm, I don’t have a favorite person in the Bible at the moment, I learn from each person I read about. They all have their own uniquely written stories.

What do you want people to learn about God when they look at you? When you look at me, I want you to see God heals even the most broken person ever, when you think you have ran so far, He meets you in your mess and says I’ve been waiting for you my daughter. Welcome home!

Favorite season? Winter is definitely my fav!

Favorite holiday?Christmas is my favorite!

A special tradition you and your family engage in or keep: Me and my family don’t have any traditions at the moment!

Question you will ask when you get to heaven? Wow , great question. I would ask did I spend most of my journey worrying and overthinking so bad that I prolonged my destination?

“[D]id I spend most of my journey worrying and overthinking so bad that I prolonged my destination?”

Thing you want to raise awareness about: I would love to raise awareness on mental health. I also want to start an organization for young girls. We suffer so much from low self esteem, depression, suicidal thoughts, lack of personal style and self, so why not help them? When I know it was so hard for me, battling these things.

What do you usually do before 9 a.m.? Well, I’m usually not up before 9 a.m. I know, I know, lazy much?  Unless I have class, I sleep in.

What’s on your nightstand? My devotionals are on my nightstand, In Touch by Charles Stanley, Our Daily Bread, and The Road Ahead (daily thoughts and devotions for your life) by Kim Russell and Bart Dawson.

Define Christianity in a sentence: Christianity is a journey of rain, sleet, snow, and even earthquakes, but through it all, you make it out stronger than ever. Keep pushing, you got this.

“Christianity is a journey of rain, sleet, snow, and even earthquakes, but through it all, you make it out stronger than ever.”
