Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

Spiritual growth focus at the moment: Right now, I am learning about finding joy in every season. I am comforted with knowing God is with me, in every season. Each season seasons us. It is full of lessons to be learned. What we learn in this one, carries to the next season. What we learn in this one, help us walk others through their difficult season.

“Each season seasons us. It is full of lessons to be learned.”

Profession: Registered Nurse.

A one sentence bio of yourself: Striving to live a simpler life, while loving God and others well.

When did you first encounter God? I grew up going to church, but I would say I truly encountered and started a relationship with the Lord at the beginning of high school.

What has helped you grow spiritually in this season? My husband. He has taught me so much about the Lord in how he showed me grace, love, kindness and forgiveness.

Just read/currently reading: Uninvited by Lysa Terkeurst. I am learning about living loved, even when I feel left out and lonely.

Top three essentials: Coffee, essential oils and fuzzy blankets.

How did God speak to you recently? God speaks to me in my everyday life. Sometimes, it is through scripture; sometimes it is through something someone says to me. It is not specifically through one facet of life.

“God speaks to me in my everyday life.”

Hobby: Netflix and chilling on the couch. I know. So lame, but I treasure cozy nights in with my husband.

Top three practical tips for staying spiritually strong:

Start your day off with God, whether that is prayer, a devotional, or time in scripture.

Pray about everything. Even the little things.

Surround yourself with people who are uplifting and encourage you in your faith.

Favorite person in scripture? Umm, Jesus.

What do you want people to learn about God when they look at you? I want people to see His love and grace, especially because so many view the church today as judgmental.

Favorite season? Fall because of the great weather following the hottest summers in Texas and the feeling of coziness.

Favorite holiday? Valentines Day. Cheesy, I know. I love celebrating love, and particularly, my love with my husband.

A special tradition you and your family engage in or keep: Me and my husband love to travel, and we started a tradition where we collect an ornament in each place we visit. Then, when Christmas rolls around, we decorate the tree and relive the memories of our travels together.

Question you will ask when you get to heaven? “Do all animals go to heaven?” I think so many people want to know the answer to this.

Thing you want to raise awareness about: Big question. I would probably say learning about all of the harsh chemicals in every product in my house. Slowly, I have been switching to the use of all-natural products.

What do you usually do before 9 a.m.? I typically wake up, brush my teeth, wash my face, drink a full glass of water and make my bed before indulging in my morning coffee and breakfast. This sets the stage for the rest of my day!

Define Christianity in a sentence: When I think about Christianity, it always ultimately boils down to a relationship with God.
