Today, Jael speaks to us about her spiritual growth focus at the moment, an interesting book she is reading, and her great advice to not get too busy serving God that we miss Him altogether.

Spiritual growth focus at the moment: To know God as He would want me to, but not what others are trying to get me to accept.
Profession: Educator
A one sentence bio of yourself: A follower of the living God, doing my best before God and man.
When did you first encounter God: It’s an ongoing process. He reveals more and more of Himself in due time as I make myself available.
What has helped you grow spiritually in this season: Trials and love
Just read/currently reading: Africa’s Roots in God by Sednak Yankson
Top three essentials: Prayer, people, and love.
How did God speak to you recently: I can’t say that I know for sure. When opportunities presents themselves, I go knowing that God is with me.
Hobby: Writing.
Top three practical tips for staying spiritually strong:
Pray, because it really does matter.
Be kind, because what you sow, you will reap.
Take time from it all; don’t be so busy serving God, that you miss Him altogether.

What do you want people to learn about God when they look at you: His strength [can] help you overcome any obstacle.

Favorite holiday: Thanksgiving.

Question you will ask when you get to heaven: None. I will just sit and take it all in.
Thing you want to raise awareness about: A true understanding of the Holy Spirit
What do you usually do before 9 a.m.? Pray, then workout.
What is on your nightstand? Lotion and a cup of tea, my writing notebook and a spiritual book.
