Lisa H.

Today, Lisa speaks to us about her love for singing, what we can learn from the turtle, and her goal to worship through adversity.

Lisa H.

Tell us a bit about how you grew up and your childhood: I was blessed to grow up in a Christian home. My childhood was impacted by a close and loving family. I have been singing ever since I was two years old. My first song I sang was Move Mountain. I believe to this day and have seen Him move so many mountains in my life, for my family, and for so many others.

Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 (ESV)

Spiritual growth focus at the moment: My spiritual growth focus is understanding the power of a grateful heart. With this year, it has brought a huge weight of complex situations, but I am determined to worship my way through it all. I want my first response to be obedience; to bless the Lord at all times and forget not all of his benefits.

“I am determined to worship my way through it all.”

Profession: My first answer would be ministry, first and foremost. The expanded answer would be that in my ministry I am a: worship leader, preacher, pastor and teacher. I love people and want more than anything else for them to know the hope in the Gospel.

“I love people and want more than anything else for them to know the hope in the Gospel.”
