Tell us a bit about how you grew up and your childhood: I grew up in Lagos, Nigeria with my parents and two younger brothers. I had a pretty decent childhood, filled with: school, extracurricular activities, church activities and the likes. I was also really close to my neighbors, so any chance I got, I ran to their house to play video games. I was restless as a kid because I was diagnosed with ADHD, but it became less pronounced, as I grew older. I always liked a little bit of everything from video games to dolls to robots and everything in between. My parents were present and did their best for my siblings and I. One weird thing about my childhood was that I absolutely hated eating, but right now, I am a full-blown foodie (#NOREGRETS).
Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: “Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].” Philippians 4:6-7
Spiritual growth focus at the moment: My current spiritual growth focus is ensuring I spend adequate time in the place of prayer and study of the Scripture. I just started a new job, so I am being extra intentional (with the aid of the Holy Spirit, of course) about my prayer and Bible study, so that I don’t get carried away with work responsibilities and life.
Profession: Biomedical Research Assistant 2 at Nathan Kline Institute of Research.
If you wrote a memoir, what would the title be? The musings of a girl in her 20s as she navigates God, life and the in-between.
When did you first encounter God and how did you encounter Him? It is hard to pick a particular moment, since I grew up in the church, but one of the most significant areas of my encounter with God was when he healed my mum from a severe terminal illness and surgery that she had. I was about 10 years old. There was also a time as a kid when I felt the presence of God so strongly, and I could barely stand.
How has your relationship with Him changed you? It has changed how I see life, humanity and people. It has made more God conscious in my dealings with others and myself. It’s like I have a whole new perspective to major things, and its just because of God.
What has helped you grow spiritually in this season? Mediation on scripture and the consciousness that I have God and He speaks to me.
Just read/currently reading (and what has it taught you?): Rise of a Truth Teller by Ashley Abercrombie, and it speaks to me about the transforming power of God, how it saves us, changes and gives us bold faith.

Always utilize the gifts and fruits you have in Christ; they are for your benefit and others.
“Never underestimate how much God loves you and wants to commune with you… it changes everything.”

Thing you want to raise awareness about: Gospel, injustice and abuse.
What does your morning routine consist of? Prayer, skincare AM routine, coffee/smoothie, reply [to] important mails and plan for the day. (If it’s a weekend, I watch a tv show except [when] I have an urgent task for the morning)
What is on your nightstand? Water Bottle, lip balm, hand lotion, Bible, prayer journal, faux lavender plant and a lamp.
Define Christianity in a sentence: “For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.
