Alice O.
Tell us a bit about how you grew up and your childhood: I grew up with my parents and three sisters in London. My parents are Christians, so they raised us to go to church and live by the Bible. We are a super tight family. Growing up [was] a lot of fun; I always felt grateful that my sisters were my best friends.
Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: “Fasten your faith and hope in God alone.” 1 Peter 1:21 TPT VERSION
Spiritual growth focus at the moment: I’m not really focusing on a particular thing; generally trying to remain in God’s rest and hear the heart of Jesus, daily.
Profession: Fashion Designer and Product Developer.
If you wrote a memoir, what would the title be? Living in God’s Perfect Love. After discovering God’s perfect love for me, there is nothing more beautiful, and it is my goal and daily priority to live in His love.
When did you first encounter God and how did you encounter Him? I think I was 15, and we were doing a prayer and fast in church. I remember people always saying that God spoke to them, and I remember thinking I want to hear God. Like what is everyone talking about? So, I decided to partake in the fast, and I asked God to speak to me about my purpose. I remember being in my room and praying; then God spoke to me about what He was calling me to do, and I remember just crying because there was so much clarity. It was the first time I heard the voice of God, and it was amazing.
How has your relationship with Him changed you? It has changed me a lot, it has made me so much more compassionate for all people. It’s made me so much more authentic and free to be myself. I feel like I am so much more confident since getting closer to Christ. I generally feel more secure and less of a need to live for other people. I am so much more self assured in my calling.

What has helped you grow spiritually in this season? Jesus Lives by Sarah Young devotional has been amazing, journaling has been incredible and the Loop for women weekly devotional newsletter is stunning! She writes so beautifully, like you literally feel like Jesus is having a conversation with you
Just read/currently reading (and what has it taught you?): [I] recently read Changes that Heal by Dr. Henry Cloud, which was life changing. It taught me to deal with past emotional issues and allow God to help me discover why I had those issues and through the Holy Spirit, heal from them. It made me see that we don’t have to accept the issues we have; that we can deal with them and through God’s love, I understood that this takes time, there is no need to rush. The grace of God gives me time to change.
Top three essentials: Journal, Bible app, candles.
How did God speak to you recently? Through Scripture.
In 1 Peter 1:21, He said that I can put my hope FULLY in Him. I used to think hope was a risk, I thought hope was uncertain. But godly hope is concrete; it’s a matter of FACT; there is nothing risky in hoping in God. Ultimately, God was saying to me that He is faithful, put my everything into hoping in Him, this has given me major peace.
“But godly hope is concrete; it’s a matter of FACT; there is nothing risky in hoping in God.”
Hobby: I love making YouTube videos; Watching other Christian YouTubers; I love designing clothes and buying clothes. I love fashion and getting dressed up!! I love to write and recently started a blog/YouTube.
Top three practical tips for staying spiritually strong: Journal– this is everything. Bible study and actually write the Scriptures out and meditate on them as much as you can. Start a vision board and place Scriptures and key insights on the board, as well as declarations and pictures. Seeing my board keeps me focused and standing on God’s words and promises.

Favorite person in scripture? I love Deborah. She was just a boss, so brave yet so spiritual and prophetic, a born leader. I love that about her and also I love Paul. His love for Christ just comes out so beautifully in Ephesians. You can just feel how much Christ changed his life when he writes. It’s stunning!
What do you want people to learn about God when they look at you? That you can be authentically you; that God is creative
How do you engage with your community? I’m a part of women’s group. We do weekly prayer calls and meet up to fellowship on Christ-centered topics. I also love to be apart of online faith groups and engage with believers on social media.
Favourite holiday? I recently went to LA and loved it – the thrift stores are amazing out there, also so many great restaurants; also love Dubai, everything is just so modern !
A goal you have? To design a really cool Bible.
A special tradition you and your family engage in or keep: We don’t really have any; we are super close family and can talk for hours non stop, but I can’t say we have any traditions.
Question you will ask when you get to heaven? I think I’d want to just see if there was anything I missed whilst on earth.
Thing you want to raise awareness about: That God is still a miracle working God and is a God of healing. Sickness and disease are not from Him and if you stand in faith and trust in God He will heal you.
What does your morning routine consist of? Wake up, go on Instagram, read my devotional and pray. Shower and get ready for the day. Then, work.
