Tell us a bit about how you grew up and your childhood: I grew up in a small town on a farm in Wabash, Indiana. I have an older sister and two brothers. The four of us have always been close. I was blessed to have Christian parents and Christian families on both sides-so we grew up knowing the Lord, and I was always active in church and church camp.
I played sports and danced. We were taught to value our education and always work hard. I think that’s a big reason why we have each found success today. My parents worked very hard for our family and even though we struggled financially and went through some family hardships related to alcohol abuse by my father, we never went without and knew they would do anything for us. Our parents were about making memories with us and that we did through some special vacations and family traditions.
Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: The book of Haggai with the message that even in times of discouragement, God is working out his plan. God protects and guides us; we must trust and follow Him. Also, Ephesians-knowing that we have “been chosen from the beginning,” and we each have special gifts that can be used for His purposes. Salvation belongs to each of us when we believe and follow.
Spiritual growth focus at the moment: I am focusing on Surrender. I realized that even though I was praying about things and seeking His guidance, I was still trying to take charge and make things happen through my own strength. So in 2020-I want to seek Him AND fully allow Him to lead so that I cannot be so worried or caught up in the future, but take each day at a time the best I can.
Profession: I am a 5th grade teacher, brand influencer for a holistic skincare and wellness company as well as one of the creators of Victorious Entrepreneurs Rising-where we help women of faith in Network Marketing build their mission business online.
When did you first encounter God and how did you encounter Him? I always knew God and feel like He has always been with me. I don’t remember a specific first encounter. However, there was a moment in my dorm room one night in college where I totally encountered His presence. I was harboring a lot of negative emotions and grudges against someone special in life-but there was a lot of emotional hurt from that relationship. That night, God showed me what it truly meant and felt like to have forgiveness for someone. It was like chains were lifted from me, and it was the most freeing feeling. He took that pain and grief so now it’s something that can no longer hinder my growth personally or spiritually.

How has your relationship with Him changed you? It has transformed my mindset, my decision making, my relationships. Being a daughter of Christ is everything. Anything I do now, I try to do with the intention of glorifying Him and getting away from selfish ambition that we can so easily get wrapped up in through culture today. I feel my purpose is to share His love and grow the Kingdom using social media platforms. We are called to be fearless influencers and world changers, and each of us has someone we are called to serve and can help if we are willing.

What has helped you grow spiritually in this season? My mom, Tammy Unger and my life and leadership coach @Ashton Cantou
Just read/currently reading (and what has it taught you?): I recently just read Igniting the Fire Starter Within by Jason Barnaby. I am actually interviewing him as well and will share it on Facebook. There are lots of great takeaways from the book is evaluating where you are right now in life-you have dreams inside of you and gifts to share-
What are you doing to tell your story, to leave your legacy, to fan your flame? Don’t let the whatifabouts as he calls it-hold you back!
Top three essentials: Bible, music, cleanser.
How did God speak to you recently? Through the devotional by Holley Gerth- You Were Made for God Sized Dreams and through the podcast “Church for Entrepreneurs”. God is showing me that there are doors I will need to close in order to up-level and step into my calling and that it’s okay to move on and upward.
Hobby: Watching movies, especially since my husband is a filmmaker- if we have free time we are either watching a movie at home or in a theater. We love it!
Top three practical tips for staying spiritually strong: Find a home church that speaks biblical truth and that you can get connected in;
Start your morning with Jesus. Gratitude, scripture/devotional reading, prayer. I have a Mindful Morning Routine I do.
Favorite person in scripture? Probably Esther. I love that she pushed past fears and doubt to step into her calling. She became confident through God’s guidance and strength. She was willing to put her selfish ambitions aside and worked to serve others instead.
What do you want people to learn about God when they look at you? I want them to know how loved they are and that they don’t have to settle for mediocrity. God has given each of us strengths and gifts to use. Know you deserve a life of abundance and have a perfect God who wants a personal relationship with you so He can show you all He has planned for you.

How do you engage with your community? I do Facebook lives often on my Facebook page- You can find me at Natalie Marie Lawson. I also serve a community of Christian women in Network Marketing inside our “Purpose Partners” Community over at Victorious Entrepreneurs Rising, as well as help women get healthy from the inside out through personal, spiritual, financial, and health coaching in “Your Best Life” community also on Facebook.
Favorite holiday? Christmas for sure.
A goal you have? Long-term goal is to create generational wealth for our families.
A special tradition you and your family engage in or keep: One of the reasons I love Christmas so much is because we are intentional about all being home on Christmas Eve. I love getting to wake up together and now adding a niece and nephew to the mix makes it so much fun!
Define Christianity in a sentence: Believing in Jesus as God’s son who died for our sins and daily living in relationship with Christ while we love and serve others to grow His kingdom.
