Tell us a bit about how you grew up and your childhood: I grew up in Louisiana, running around barefoot with wild tangled hair from riding one four wheelers down the lanes too fast. We had a simple childhood and spent most of the time outside. Southern Baptist roots kept us in Sunday school and vacation Bible school but not much else during the school year. I had a great childhood full of travel softball, lots of great food, and a big loud opinionated family.

Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: “I cannot think of anyone more unworthy to this cause than I, the least of the least of the saints. But here I am, a grace-made man, privileged to be an echo of His voice and a preacher to all the nations of the riches of the Anointed One, riches that no one ever imagined.” Ephesians 3:8 The Voice (VOICE)

Spiritual growth focus at the moment: Writing the revelation God has given me on women communicators.

Profession: Founder of Let’s Echo. Speaking Coach for women who desire to communicate the Gospel with confidence.

If you wrote a memoir, what would the title be? Forge Ahead: The importance of moving forward when you want sit down and throw a pity party.

When did you first encounter God and how did you encounter Him? I was 8 when I first responded to an altar call. I was 21 when I first truly gave my life to Jesus at a retreat in the back woods of Louisiana. I grew up in church but never knew His Presence. When I went to a spirit-filled church, I actually felt His nearness and heard Him speak to my heart.

How has your relationship with Him changed you? Purity, thoughtfulness, slow to speak, humility, passion to be great and make a difference, caring about others, stepping out even when I don’t want to, serving others.

What has helped you grow spiritually in this season? Moving to a new city. Having more alone time than usual to think, pray, and process.

Just read/currently reading (and what has it taught you?): Adventures in Contentment. The pleasure of the slow life.

Top three essentials: Chips and salsa, ambitious friends, excellent experiences.

How did God speak to you recently? I hear Him best when I’m on my road bike.

Hobby: Making charcuterie boards.

Top three practical tips for staying spiritually strong: Read your Bible, pray, stay in community.

Favorite person in scripture? The relationship between Timothy and Paul.

What do you want people to learn about God when they look at you? Tenacity- forging ahead to accomplish the call despite the suffering involved.

How do you engage with your community? Anything fun and exciting. I love to experience new things with friends.

If you mean the online community, I share through videos focused on educational and inspiring thoughts.

Favorite holiday? Christmas.

A goal you have? To raise up 1000 women preachers who are dependent on Jesus for revelation and unction to boldly proclaim and full of the spirit of God to see signs and wonders accompany their preaching.

A special tradition you and your family engage in or keep: Breakfast for dinner on Christmas Eve.

Question you will ask when you get to heaven? What’s the most fun thing we can do together up here?

Thing you want to raise awareness about: Women preachers.

What does your morning routine consist of? Green tea, journal, Bible reading, gratitude, workout.

What is on your nightstand? Books on writing, oil diffuser, ponytail holders, lip mask, water bottle.

Define Christianity in a sentence: Acknowledging our desperate need for a Savior because of our sin, and spending our lives pursing the only One who could ever save us, Jesus.
