Tell us a bit about how you grew up and your childhood: I am the youngest of 7 siblings and come from a big Non-Christian Hispanic family. Being that there were so many of us, my parents instilled a very hard work ethic into us. I thank my parents for showing us a great work ethic.

Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: Hebrews 13:8. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. [I] love that I can rely on a God that is consistent and faithful. #MyGod

Spiritual growth focus at the moment: Unwavering Trust. Believing the Word, regardless of how it might look in the natural. Live by faith and not by sight.

Profession: Hairstylist. Been a salon owner for 7 years, but been doing hair for 13 years.

If you wrote a memoir, what would the title be? The Inner Struggle; Breakthroughs.

When did you first encounter God and how did you encounter Him? At the age of 22. I had noticed a change in two of my siblings who became Christians; I wanted that change, too. I remember during that time that anywhere I would go, God put people in my life that were Christian. At that time, I didn’t know they were Christians, but there was something about them that attracted me to them, as well. It’s amazing how God puts the right people in your life to get close to Him.

“It’s amazing how God puts the right people in your life to get close to Him.”

What has helped you grow spiritually in this season? A challenge. I’ve been challenged to know God on a more intimate level. I was given a series of questions to ask in my prayer time; these questions are helping me fine tune the voice of God in my life. And you know, little by little, I’m hearing His voice, more and more.

Just read/currently reading (and what has it taught you?): Pep Talk by Terri Savelle Foy. When speaking out life-giving declarations, I am setting winning actions!

“When speaking out life-giving declarations, I am setting winning actions!”

Top three essentials: My Bible , water, Chapstick and eyelash extensions! That was more than 3.

How did God speak to you recently? To stay pure in thought and action.

Hobby: Food! I love to try new food and do outdoor activities. Feed me well, and I will be content!

Top three practical tips for staying spiritually strong: Read the Bible everyday, have people in your life that have been in the faith walk longer than you, find a church and go.

Favorite person in scripture? Jesus, my Savior.

What do you want people to learn about God when they look at you? That He is creative and the idea supplier! God is the biggest creator and made us to create as well. We are all creative in our unique way.

How do you leave your mark on your community? That l always lead my businesses with the highest of integrity and with godly principals.

Favorite holiday? Fourth of July.

A goal you have? To have physical energy at all times and to write a rhyme book!

A special tradition you and your family engage in or keep: We play a game called The Letter Game! We call out a letter and think of any word in English or Spanish until we can’t think of anymore! We play it at holiday gatherings, restaurants and in car rides. Everyone gets involved, and we have great laughs when we play.

Question you will ask when you get to heaven? What’s one thing on earth that man did not discover?

Things you want to raise awareness about: Elder abuse. It happens in nursing [homes] and assisted livings. It was brought to my attention by one of my siblings and it just never left my thoughts.

What does your morning routine consist of? Put my contacts on, stretch in front of the mirror, greet and snuggle my dog, Blanca.

What is on your nightstand? My Bible, contact case, glasses and glass of water.

Define Christianity in a sentence: Christianity is what you do in private, like reading the Word, applying and speaking the Word in your life, tithing, giving offerings, speaking in the spirit, praying for peoples salvation, building your spirit man, learn how to hear from God. Those are a good few things to start off with.
