Today, Ireland shares with us her favorite Bible time videos, why autumn means so much, and thoughts about trusting His leading hand.

Ireland R.

Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: “We can’t always see where the road leads, but God promises there’s something better up ahead we just have to trust him.”  Psalm 56:3

Spiritual growth focus at the moment: Taking chosen time just for God’s Word to guild and calm me – something that I haven’t done enough of! Trusting His leading hand!

“Trusting His leading hand!”

Profession: Student.

A one sentence bio of yourself: A girl trying to make her parents proud and God prouder!

When did you first encounter God and how did you encounter him: I’ve been catholic all my life, and although it wasn’t the strongest feeling with Christ I’ve had, I’d have to say learning the mass when I was very young!

What has helped you grow spiritually in this season: Something that has helped me spiritually in this season would be that God has shown me, time and time again, His endless love and mercy, when I can’t see Him or hear Him, at moments of my life.

“God has shown me, time and time again, His endless love and mercy, when I can’t see Him or hear Him, at moments of my life.”

Just read/currently reading (and what has it taught you?): I just started reading Consoling the Heart of Jesus by Michael E. Gaitley. It’s teaching me to care for others!

Top three essentials: Sweet tea, a cozy blanket and some coffee and Bible time videos!

How did God speak to you recently: God has spoken to me recently about taking a break from most social media!

Hobbies: I’m a super artsy person! So, anything to do with decorating, painting, drawing, photography, keeping a journal and hand lettering are gonna keep me busy!

Top three practical tips for staying spiritually strong:  1. Surround yourself with as many encouraging and kind people! Those are the people who are going to lead you to Christ!  2. I would try and make it a habit to talk to God throughout the day.  3. Simply do the things you love! Let God show you new ways to share your life with and for others!

Favorite person in the scripture: I’d have to say St. Veronica. St. Veronica is my confirmation saint, who shows me to act in little ways of kindness!

What do you want people to learn about God when they look at you: When people look at me, I want them to see Jesus’ kindness and care! And that Jesus has so much love for us!

Favorite season: Definitely, autumn! My birthday is in October, so I think that the autumn season is something very special God has given me.

Favorite holiday: It’s a very popular answer, but of course Christmas!

A dream you have: To truly be so deep in love with the life God has given me on earth and not wasting a single drop of it!

A special tradition you and your family engage in or keep: My family and I have never really carried traditions, so I think that has become our tradition!

Question you will ask when you get to heaven: I think that if I get to heaven, I would hope that I wouldn’t need to ask any questions. Frankly I don’t really believe that there would be any questions to ask because I would be so amazed by the Lord!

Thing you want to raise awareness about: I think something my voice could be spoken loud about would be mental health, especially if you struggle with it as a Christian or Catholic, like myself!

What do you usually do before 9am: I usually get up, go see my family, eat breakfast and see where my day could bring me! (I’m trying to make daily reading fit somewhere in there, too!)

What is on your nightstand: Candles of course (I’m a big fan of be cozy!), and the latest book I’m reading!

Define Christianity in one sentence: A life long journey with someone who will continue showing His love and forgiveness and will always give you new beginnings!
