Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life.” Matthew 6:26

Spiritual growth focus at the moment: I’ve always struggled with patience, all my life I’ve been a ‘grabber’ of what I want. Too many times, I’ve reached out like a disobedient child trying to touch what was never mine to start with. I’m at a point where I’m learning to just wait until God speaks, I know that His timing is perfect.

“Too many times, I’ve reached out like a disobedient child trying to touch what was never mine to start with.”

Profession: Does being a big sister to seven cheeky monkeys count? No? Okay, I’m a university student.

MW: Totally counts!

A one sentence bio of yourself: I’m an artsy, coffee addict with a passion for living a life that I’ll be proud of when I’m old and grey… oh, and I also write.

When did you first encounter God and how did you encounter Him? I gave my heart to God when I was seven, as I sat with my mum and repeated a short prayer in my small voice. But I don’t think I fully encountered God until much later, when I was in desperate need for His love. I have encountered Him many times and I still do, every day.

What has helped you grow spiritually in this season? Heather Lindsey (a Christian Youtuber) has been a huge inspiration. Seriously though, Lindsey has become my online therapist and she has so much wisdom for Christian single women. I love her!

“Seriously though, Lindsey has become my online therapist and she has so much wisdom for Christian single women.”

Just read/currently reading (and what has it taught you?): I read And The Bride Wore White a little while ago and it’s still by far the most impacting book I’ve ever read. It made my realize that purity really is priceless.

“Purity really is priceless.”

Top three essentials: Bible, Coffee, Spotify. In that order.

How did God speak to you recently? By softly reminding me, over and over, not to worry, but to completely and utterly surrender my life to Him. To trust Him enough to step out onto the water and know that He’ll catch me, if I sink.

Hobby: Is having deep, weird conversations and eating dark chocolate a hobby? I also like art, painting, hand lettering, drawing and writing.

Top three practical tips for staying spiritually strong:

1. Communication with God would have to be the most important tip. In order for any relationship to work, there needs to be continual communication. The same goes for God. Talk to him throughout your day whether you’re brushing your teeth or washing the dishes. Keep the dialogue going, He just wants to hear from you. But don’t do all the talking, remember to listen to His replies!

2. I can’t stress the importance of surrounding yourself with Godly people. It’s so important to have a few good friends who you can fall back on when you’re struggling. Let them become your lil’ support group to keep you accountable and love you when you don’t feel so lovable.

3. Worship, worship, and wooooorship! Raise your hands, get on your knees, cry, be vulnerable with God. Worship Him for everything He is and everything He has promised.

“Worship Him for everything He is and everything He has promised.”

Favorite person in scripture? That’s easy, Esther. I admire her strength, confidence and unwavering obedience. I aspire to be as courageous as her!

What do you want people to learn about God when they look at you? I want people to just see a living example of love, when they look at me. I want them to see Jesus shining from within me.

Favorite season? Summer, definitely.

Favorite holiday? I love Passover, because it’s a Biblical holiday that reminds me of God’s deliverance.

A dream you have? To work in an orphanage in Uganda.

A special tradition you and your family engage in or keep: Every Saturday is our ‘Pyjama day’. We are allowed to spend the entire day in bed, if we want to.

Question you will ask when you get to heaven? I would ask God if I could sit on His lap and just talk to Him.

Thing you want to raise awareness about: Broken families and mental disorders.

What do you usually do before 9 a.m.?Drink a massive mug of coffee, listen to some worship music, and read a chapter in Psalms.

What is on your nightstand? I don’t have a nightstand, but on the floor beside my bed I keep my lamp, a big box of tea, a kettle, my phone charger and my bible.

Define Christianity in a sentence: Whole heartily following Jesus.
