Two Virtuous Gals (Hope and Moriah)

Today, Hope and Moriah, from Two Virtuous Gals, share with us thoughts on dressing modestly, and a book teaching them more about being a Proverbs 31 woman.

(Moriah and Hope)

Two Virtuous Gals

Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: “I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, wonderful are your works, my soul knows it very well.” Psalm 139:14

Spiritual growth focus at the moment: Renewing my mind, and seeking God first.

Profession: We work at a preschool.

A one sentence bio of yourself: Moriah is very generous, and wears her heart on her sleeve, and Hope is laid-back, funny, caring, and loving.

When did you first encounter God and how did you encounter Him? I grew up going to church every Sunday, so I’d say I first encountered God in praise and worship, while giving Him thanks.

What has helped you grow spiritually in this season? I would say just trusting God, and having faith in Him, and His plan in my life.

Just read/currently reading (and what has it taught you?): I’ve been reading The Proverbs 31 Woman, by E.R. Reid, and it has taught me that I cannot be a Proverbs 31 woman without God’s help, and I’ve also learned that it’s not impossible to be a virtuous woman.

Top three essentials: Coffee, the Bible app, and GirlDefined on YouTube.

How did God speak to you recently? God spoke to me recently by leading me to read Proverbs 3, where it talks about having favor with God and man. Later that day, I took my permit test, and I forgot my paper with the barcode, when I told the lady working there, she was so sweet and just scanned it from my phone, and when I told her I was nervous she gave me ten extra minutes for the test.

Hobby: Our hobbies are baking, cooking, doing our nails, and shopping.

Top three practical tips for staying spiritually strong: Reading your Bible often, doing devotionals, and talking to other Christians about God.

Favorite person in scripture? Enoch, because he had a relationship with God, and he fellowshipped with Him.

What do you want people to learn about God when they look at you? I would want people to learn that God is forgiving, and His grace is sufficient.

Favorite season? Spring and fall, because I love the cherry blossoms in the spring, and I love the holidays in the fall (including my birthday!).

Favorite holiday? My favorite holiday is Resurrection Sunday. I love getting to spend time with my family, praising the Lord, and eating good food.

A dream you have? To get married, and start a family, and to teach my children to live for God.

A special tradition you and your family engage in or keep: We pray together every morning, we pray for the upcoming day, and for all our family.

Question you will ask when you get to heaven? I would probably ask if any animals have souls or if dogs go to heaven.

Thing you want to raise awareness about: I would love to raise awareness for dressing for the lord, and dressing modestly is something I’m really passionate about.

What do you usually do before 9 a.m.? I wake up at 5 for work, get ready for work, and I work at a preschool, so I make breakfast for the kids, and then I teach them their Bible verses and they say their morning prayers.

What is on your nightstand? On my nightstand, I have my planner, a water bottle, my Bible, and my phone.

Define Christianity in a sentence: Living for the Lord, and submitting to Him.
