Caroline C.

Today, Caroline talks to us about how obedience is better than sacrifice and how the Lord fights for every area of our lives.

Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: Psalm 5:12, the favor of the Lord surrounds me like a shield. This scripture has many times reminded that the Lord is fighting for me in every area of my life. That though the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy, God is for me and He fights for my life, my present, future, purpose and destiny…. protecting me and establishing me.

“The Lord is fighting for me in every area of my life.”

Spiritual growth focus at the moment: Character-– it is built through endurance, patience and faith.

Profession: A simple girl who believes in a BIG God, I love fashion, beauty.

A one sentence bio of yourself: I work as a therapist and love people, and above all, I love God.

When did you first encounter God and how did you encounter Him? My first major encounter with God was when I was 12 and would feel the presence of God in my life so tangibly at church.

What has helped you grow spiritually in this season? Stepping out has allowed me to trust God more than I ever have.

Just read/currently reading (and what has it taught you?): Been reading a blog called destinydeas, and I have learnt this about entrepreneurship: your execution is more important that your idea.

Top three essentials: Lip balm from eos (strawberry flavor), David’s Tea (buchu superfruit), optiflow ink pen.

How did God speak to you recently? Obedience is better than sacrifice.

Hobby: I look cooking and trying new recipes.

Top three practical tips for staying spiritually strong: Prayer, devotion and serving.

Favorite person in scripture? My favorite person in scripture is Peter; his life is such a perfect example of what it means to be imperfect yet from the pursuit of God comes great redemption and activation of purpose.

What do you want people to learn about God when they look at you? I want them to learn that obedience is better than sacrifice. When we obey God, we position ourselves to be a part of what God is doing in the earth and allow God to use us for his purposes.

“When we obey God, we position ourselves to be a part of what God is doing in the earth and allow God to use us for his purposes.”

Favorite season? My favorite season is spring. I love the symbolism around spring time that highlights the dawn of a new day, and bonus, I am a spring baby.

Favorite holiday? Christmas. I love the general feel of Christmas (eggnog, fire place and the only time I can handle the snow) but even more, the meaning behind the celebration.

A dream you have? I dream to be able to one day start multiple mental health facilities for women in Africa that provide holistic care.

Question you will ask when you get to heaven? I will ask if I fulfilled every God-given purpose that was assigned to me.

Thing you want to raise awareness about: I have a major passion to raise mental health awareness. I work as a therapist and have had close people in my life who have been impacted by it.

What do you usually do before 9 a.m.? I try to spend time in prayer, get my daughter ready, make breakfast and put in a work out.

What is on your nightstand? Nothing right now as we just moved into a new home and are still shopping for some of our furniture.

Define Christianity in a sentence: Living a life that is fully and totally submitted to God – in Him I move, live and have my being.

Until next time, keep witnessing!

XOXO
