Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: “As for God, His way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: He is a buckler to all those that trust in Him.” Psalms 18:30

Spiritual growth focus at the moment: Right now, I am learning how to rest and be still and know that God is God and that He never withholds any good thing from me, as I trust Him. Learning to stand still and let God move.

“Learning to stand still and let God move.”

Profession: Licensed massage therapist and a pianist/organist/accompanist.

A one sentence bio of yourself: I am a 24-year-old woman who loves deeply, yet doesn’t always show it, and choosing to live for Jesus.

When did you first encounter God? I grew up in a Christian home. I was raised in the Seventh-day Adventist faith. I have always had a love for Jesus, but I think it was when I was 13 years old that I really made an effort to get to know Him and made the decision to give my life to Him and was baptized a few months after I turned 14 years old.

What has helped you grow spiritually in this season? Reading the Bible, praying, and journaling.

Just read/currently reading (and what has it taught you?): I am currently reading The Great Controversy. It has given me a deeper meaning of the importance of the Bible and the power of God and standing on the truth even unto death.

“Standing on the truth even unto death.”

Top three essentials: My Bible, my journal and my water bottle.

How did God speak to you recently? He has spoken to me through a friend and the Bible.

Hobby: Crocheting and writing poetry.

Top three practical tips for staying spiritually strong: Starting each day with prayer; Reading the Bible; Trusting that what God says in the Bible is true, even though you may not feel like it is.

Favorite person in scripture? Jesus because He is my hero and Saviour!

I really like the story of Ruth and how she let God work in her life and how God restored her from pain and provided her with another beautiful love story with Boaz. It is one of my favorite Bible stories.

What do you want people to learn about God when they look at you? That He has unconditional love for every person no matter what they have done.

Favorite season? Spring and fall.

Favorite holiday? Thanksgiving.

A dream you have? To be a wife and mother! Missionary in Africa. I love orphan children.

A special tradition you and your family engage in or keep: Whenever we have a birthday, we all go around and say something we are thankful for or appreciate about the family member whose birthday it is.

Question you will ask when you get to heaven? I think one of the things that I want to ask Jesus would be to tell me what it was like when He created the world. I can think of many “why” questions that I could ask Him, but I know that He does all things for my good and just to be in His presence will be enough!

Thing you want to raise awareness about: Each person’s great need for Christ and how He can truly change our lives.

What do you usually do before 9 a.m.? I wake up between 5-6am. I have devotions, take a shower, eat breakfast, study for school.

What is on your nightstand? I have color pencils, my Bible, three journals, a few others books. A tiny teddy bear, a little box with dried flower peddles. A tiny elephant made in Africa. A tiny teddy bear.

Define Christianity in a sentence: A day-to-day walk with Christ, reflecting His attributes.
