Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: Philppians 4:11 as it says, “Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content.” This, to me, means that wherever God has me planted at any moment, I can grow there and do mighty things for His kingdom.
“Wherever God has me planted at any moment, I can grow there and do mighty things for His kingdom.”
Spiritual growth focus at the moment: Grow where I am planted.
Profession: I am currently a volleyball coach, college student working towards a business marketing degree, entrepreneur, and blogger.
A one sentence bio of yourself: Just a Jesus loving girl, trying to cultivate friendship, and become grace.
“Become grace.”
When did you first encounter God? I first encountered God when I was six years old.
What has helped you grow spiritually in this season? Jorden Lee Dooley, her soul sessions, Bible studies, and also getting plugged into a church near me.
Just read/currently reading (and what has it taught you?): I just read a Love That Lasts, and the biggest/most important thing it taught me was that love is an act of service. Love is seeing what you can give others and how you can best serve them. Love is not about what you can get.
“Love is seeing what you can give others and how you can best serve them.”
Top three essentials: Bible, highlighters/pens, iPhone.
How did God speak to you recently? I write in a journal daily to talk to Him.
Hobby: Volleyball or growing social media.
Top three practical tips for staying spiritually strong: Listen to worship/Christian music, pray daily, read the Living Word (Bible) daily.
Favorite person in scripture? Paul.
What do you want people to learn about God when they look at you? How loving He is, how graceful He is, how faithful He is, how kind He is, and how forgiving He is.
Favorite season? Fall/winter! Any time it’s cold and I get to wear boots. *laughs*
Favorite holiday? Christmas, because of the music and joy that everyone seems to have.
A dream you have? To display God’s glory and goodness to everyone I meet and to raise a family who is an example of God’s love.
A special tradition you and your family engage in or keep: Christmas breakfast is almost always the same, and we all go all out for Christmas, with gifts, fun, and celebrating Jesus!
Thing you want to raise awareness about: Everyone feels alone, but you are not alone. Protecting you mind equals protecting your heart. Reading the Bible daily is more important than you could ever know.
What do you usually do before 9 a.m.? I sleep until then, on a daily basis.
What is on your nightstand? BOOKS, coffee mugs, chargers.
Define Christianity in a sentence: Christianity is not a religion but a relationship with the Creator of the World, with the Creator of you; Christianity is a relationship.
