Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: “You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus.”  2 Timothy 2:1

Spiritual growth focus at the moment: Gentleness — with myself for the sake of freedom and loving others well. I’m learning to pay closer attention to the inner critic within me, if I’m not at peace with myself and focus on my shortcomings, it is a habit that most definitely will affect others negatively with how I treat them.

A one sentence bio of yourself: A person hungry for knowledge, lover of the depths, learning to grow in grace, release perfectionism, desiring to love God and others well.

When did you first encounter God? Well, I grew up hearing about the Lord, but I would say I truly never encountered the Lord in a real way until late high school. 

What has helped you grow spiritually in this season? My son. I had him 5 months ago, and since he’s been here, I’ve learned so much about the Lord– His kindness to me, His grace. I’ve been stretched to a new limit of living sacrificially, learning to slow down, be patient, and be present, all in a greater measure. He’s healed so many parts of me that have been broken.

Just read/currently reading: Parenting books. Ezekiel, and Humility by Andrew Murray is a great book, though!

Top three essentials: Snacks, coffee,  and a handheld vacuum.

How did God speak to you recently? I believe that the Lord is always speaking to us through His Word, in natural and supernatural ways. Recently, it’s been through listening to a song, Him revealing Scripture to me, and through a dream.

Hobby: Recently, I’ve gotten into making baby food and perfecting a good natural counter top cleaner.

Top three practical tips for staying spiritually strong: Get alone with the Lord and truly study the Word; Don’t let your only growth come from [church] teaching; Surround yourself with people who sharpen you. 

Favorite person in scripture? Jesus. Duh.

What do you want people to learn about God when they look at you? Grace.

Favorite season? Summer.

Favorite holiday? Christmas.

A special tradition you and your family engage in or keep: We aren’t big tradition people.

Question you will ask when you get to heaven? What is your favorite thing about me?

Thing you want to raise awareness about: Ohhh goodness, so many things lately, it has been unsafe beauty and household cleaning products.

What do you usually do before 9 a.m.? I’m not a morning person,typically just sleep.

Define Christianity in a sentence: A body of people that believe that Jesus the Son of God lived a perfect life, sacrificially died in their place, and made atonement for their sin. Living to model their lives after Him in response to His love, expectantly waiting for His return.
