Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: Matthew 5:2-12: “And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying:

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

Spiritual growth focus at the moment: Letting go of my plans and surrendering to God’s will. Trusting in Him completely.

Profession: Stay at home mom, homeschooler, and blogger.

A one sentence bio of yourself: I am a mother of two beautiful girls, 2 and 10, wife, and blogging mom trying to help fellow Christian women gain focus in today’s chaos!

When did you first encounter God: In my mid 20s.

What has helped you grow spiritually in this season: Learning to be submissive to my husband, in a Biblical way. It’s been a really big challenge but has helped my personal growth.

Just read/currently reading: Alone With God by John MacArthur.

Top three essentials: Bible, coffee, and naps!

How did God speak to you recently: God has given me some direction as far as my blog is concerned and that I should be focusing my attention on that.

Hobby: I love to read, and play board and card games.

Top three practical tips for staying spiritually strong: Stay in the Word. It is the tool God has gifted us, necessary for every day living! Surround yourself with good, Godly women who will be a strong support system for you. Go to church. Volunteer. God does amazing things in our lives, when we put others first.

“God does amazing things in our lives, when we put others first.”

Favorite person in scripture: Other than Jesus? Jonah. I love how God still used him after he flat out told God, “No, I’m not doing that!”

What do you want people to learn about God when they look at you? That He is an ever loving, merciful God and forgives our deepest, darkest sins.

Favorite season: Spring.

Favorite holiday: Christmas.

A special tradition you and your family engage in or keep: Daily devotionals to start our day. (Most days!)

Question you will ask when you get to heaven: I don’t think I’ll have to ask any because all truth will be revealed to us.

“… all truth will be revealed to us.”

Thing you want to raise awareness about: Jesus, as our Savior.

What do you usually do before 9 a.m.? Up by 5:00 a.m., daily blog work, social media posting for the blog, coffee, morning walk, shower, prep for school, and start homeschooling.

What is on your nightstand? A lamp, a couple cross knick knacks and ear plugs to defend myself against my snoring husband!
