The Seven Days of Gratitude: Day 2 (Animals)
Welcome to The Seven Days of Gratitude. This has been a longstanding tradition at Modern Witnesses. It’s one of my favorites, and I love when our Canadian friends join in (even though their Thanksgiving happens earlier). Each day, we will share a category, and you can pick something from that category to share or reflect on that you have been grateful for over this past year. You can start this challenge at any time and do it in any order. The hope is to embrace gratitude each day and reflect on our many blessings. This challenge always blesses me. I love when you share in the comments, or, the more popular way of sharing, by social media. Make sure to tag us. We love reposting and you can see prior years in the highlights.
With all that said– let’s start with Day 2: Animals

I love a good afternoon at the park. It’s always a nice time when we go to visit the squirrely friends. Animals are such curious little creatures. I know a squirrel trio that lives in a particular tree in the park. When we walk by, they poke their little heads out of their hole, looking like something out of Cinderella. There are two other little squirrels that tumble and chase each other around. They are a riot. Always chasing each other; darting from tree to tree. They make me smile every time. I can’t count the amount of times they have sparked joy. Every time I see the cardinal at the park my heart glows. Nature reminds us of God and His goodness.
Do you have a pet? Are there any animals in your life that bring you joy? Was there something they did in recent memory that made you laugh?
