Today, Angeles speaks to us about skincare, finding Jesus in the pandemic and how her organic body care line started. Thank you, Angeles, for sharing with us and for being a part of our Founders Series!

Tell us a bit about how you grew up and your childhood: My name is Angeles. I have been married for almost 15 years to my wonderful husband and we have 3 kids, Keven 21, Elizabeth 18 and Abigail 13. We also love and care for our dog, Mia.

Inspiring biblical passage of the moment: My inspiring biblical passage at the moment is Deuteronomy 31:8 “The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Spiritual growth focus at the moment: Everyday I try to play 107.9 KWAVE no matter what I’m doing around the house. I love to listen at any time, any pastor. I feel like I can learn a lot of things in a day.

Tell us about Lamb and Me— how did your journey begin? During my second pregnancy, I developed chronic allergies. For many years, I suffered from it. I did seek for help with different allergists but no one could help me. One day we made a big change in our home to only buy organic food. Let me tell you, what a difference that made. In a few weeks I saw such an improvement. After that, I didn’t look back. I knew that organic was the way to go for me and my family. I proceeded to look for products made with organic ingredients. Organic body care and soap was on my list but sadly I couldn’t find what I was looking for. That is how Lamb & Me started at the beginning. I knew at that moment that I had to do it myself. I got myself a book and began learning. I loved knowing that I was going to be able to choose and control the ingredients. And I did! I got only organic ingredients like oils, butters, additives and even our essential oils are organic. After making my first soap, I knew I wanted to make more. Soon, family and friends wanted some too. After a few months the question came to me, do I want to start a business? That morning before my study I prayed to God and asked Him if He wanted me to go for it. After I finish praying I went to my study lesson and to my surprise the title of the lesson was “keep busy until I come.” I was in shock! I told Him in that moment that I didn’t want to go for it without Him. And that is how Lamb & Me was born.

What is your favorite product from Lamb and Me? Every product on our website is unique on its own. They all have different fresh ingredients and scents that I perfected before selling. I love them all. I do love hearing what people have to say about them. For example, this client bought soap and she sent me a message a few days after saying “I love your soaps. I have to purchase more soon! The texture of my skin has improved so much in such a short time!” I love knowing that my products are making a difference.

If you wrote a memoir, what would the title be? I would name my memoir “Lamb & Me”. Even though I have been walking with God for only 4 years I know that I have plenty to write about. God has done a lot of great and amazing things for me and my family. He has been leading my way and has done above and beyond my wildest expectations.

When did you first encounter God and how did you encounter Him? I was saved during the pandemic. I was terrified for my family and I was living my life in fear. My sister had been a Christian for many years prior to that. She began a zoom Bible study and with other ladies we would meet every two weeks. Honestly, I was scared of dying and going to hell. My fear led me to seek Him with all my heart. That was the most wonderful day of my life. As I read the Bible, He spoke to me. I can tell you that He found me because not too long after that an extraordinary feeling of peace and love came rushing in me. Like no other in this world.

How would you describe Jesus? Jesus is the love of my life. I don’t know how I lived my life for so many years without Him. I’m nothing without Him but I’m everything He wants me to be. Jesus is my best friend, a father, and everything in between. He reminds me that He is slow to anger and quick to forgive. He is merciful in all of His greatness. Jesus is my rock. He is my Lord and savior, the One whose love was to die to save me. I can’t wait to be with Him for ever and ever.

How has your relationship with Him changed you? My life has changed dramatically. I feel at peace and confident that He is with me everywhere I go and with everything I do. I have seen Him do GREAT things in my home, not just with me, but with my whole family. I have the peace that no matter what might come our way, He will be with us all. He reminds me constantly that we are living our lives in a place like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and we need to be like them. To stay strong with our faith and He will be there with us in the “furnace“ if necessary.

What has helped you grow spiritually in this season? I’m so blessed that I can stay home now, I used to work as a florist while my kids were in school. Now, I take my daughter to school and come back home and have breakfast as I do a study with either pastor Brian Brodersen or pastor Raul Ries. I love their teachings; they both have complete studies for a lot of the books of the Bible.

Hobby: I have a small backyard and I love to spend time with my plants. I have banana plants, blueberries, pomegranates, nectarines, grapes, lemons, onions, potatoes and herbs. In my garden you will also find beautiful roses and different flowering plants. From the love of plants, I took interest in becoming a florist. And so, for a few years I worked making everyday arrangements for weddings and special events. Plants, nature, and organic is a big part of my life as I have experienced a dramatic change with my health.

Favorite person in scripture? There are definitely many great people in the Bible that I wish I could have a conversation with. I love that I can relate to so many people and that I can learn from them. Jesus is my focus, He is the one that will always answer all of my questions. I do wish I could see Him in person, to sit next to Him and just talk.

What do you want people to learn about God when they look at you ? That if God can save me, then He can definitely save them.

Favorite holiday? I love to celebrate Christmas. Now that I know the meaning of who, when and why, it makes it so much more special. To find a day to remember the day our savior was born is definitely time to celebrate.

A goal you have? My goal is to do my Father’s will here on earth. With whatever it is.

Thing you want to raise awareness about: Our skin is the biggest organ of our bodies and is like a sponge. If we use products with chemicals, our skin absorbs them and they go to our blood stream, making us sick. Let us make better choices when it comes to our skin.

Define Christianity in a sentence: The word christian is just a name to describe a friendship with the son of God, Jesus Christ.
