The Seven Days of Gratitude: Day 3 (The Mental)

Welcome to Day 3 of The Seven Days of Gratitude.

This has been a longstanding tradition at Modern Witnesses. Each day, we will name the category, and you can pick something from that category to share or reflect on that you have been grateful for over this past year. You can start this challenge at any time and do it in any order.

The hope is to embrace gratitude each day and reflect on our many blessings. This challenge always blesses me. I love when you share in the comments, or, the more popular way of sharing, by social media. Make sure to tag us. We love reposting and you can see prior years in the highlights.

Day 1 is here.

Day 2 can be found here.

Day 3 is about the mind. I am forever grateful for learning!

One of my favorite things I did this year was take two brain optimization courses by Jim Kwik, the author of Limitless and a personality course by Dr. Jordan B. Peterson.

You will hear me say it over and over again, but the mind is limitless. We can develop our brains and take it to new heights. I think the key components to this are rest, exposure to the new (new information, systems, ways of doing things, people), play, and spiritual renewal of our mind. I also explored more about brain health with Dr. Amen and the rewiring of our brain with Dr. Dispenza (on Gaia). There are so many resources out there that can help us develop our mental faculties. Brain health and wiring was a huge focus for me this year. The brain is important because it is where God speaks to us. It is how we connect to God.

I am grateful for resilience to pave a path for a better future, learning new things and the ability to seek truth and growth. We are never done, and that, to me, is an exciting thing.

What relating to the mental aspect are you grateful for?
