God With Us: Lynette Allcock Yoon

MW: What does “God with us” mean to you in this season?
LAY: “God with us” reminds me that God has been my one constant in a year of change — my ever-present help and companion. In this season, I look back over a year of numerous transitions, gains, and losses, and I thank God that he has been with me through it all. He is a faithful friend to strengthen me, correct me, and comfort me through all the stresses and grief that change (even good change!) can bring. So at Christmas, I reflect that the birth of Jesus, with everything it signifies, has made it possible for God to be with me forever. And He is “God with you,” too.
