MW Gift Guide for the Cheerful Giver

Hi friends,

These are some of our favorite nonprofits and charities that you can donate to (either in your name or on behalf of someone else). Often, the best gift you can give goes to a neighbor you haven’t met yet.

Importantly, MW has adopted a family, so to speak, and we created a wish list for the family with some needs and goodies for the kiddos. Find the link to the wish list first on the list! Thank you for your generosity.

(None of this is sponsored, just wanted to share the good stuff!)

T Family

We at Modern Witnesses want to support a family in our community that has been through a lot this year. This single parent is working hard to make ends meet. We have created a wish list for this family that has some needs and also some goodies for the children. You can find the wish list here to donate. (All toddler stuff is 4T; we will continue to update in real time). If you would like to send them a gift card for Trader Joe’s or other grocery store or send them cash on the cash app, please comment, and I can send you the info directly. Thank you for your generosity!

Tunnel to Towers

“The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is a charitable organization founded in tribute to New York Fire Department firefighter Stephen Siller, who died on September 11, 2001, during the September 11 attacks. The foundation operates as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and helps families of September 11, first responders and veterans rebuild in part from funds raised through nationwide charity runs. The foundation also operates the Let Us Do Good Village, a one hundred-home area in Land O’Lakes, Florida explicitly for veterans, first responders and their families.” (Source)

Project Dynamo

Project DYNAMO is headquartered in Tampa, Florida and operates to provide assistance to those impacted in disaster areas and conflict zones throughout the world where the U.S. government does not have access or a presence. Project DYNAMO was established in response to the U.S. troop withdrawal from Afghanistan when hundreds of American Citizens and thousands of our Allies were left behind. Little did we know that over two years later, we would still have a need to rescue American Citizens from conflict-zones and natural disasters both overseas and on the U.S. Homeland.

To date, Project DYNAMO has rescued more than 6,075 men, women, children, and babies. We have also rescued hundreds of pets from harm’s way for families who have lost everything. Project DYNAMO operates in “The Grey Space” where the U.S. government is not. This means, when the government is unable or unwilling to provide assistance, DYNAMO responds & deploys. (Source)

Los Angeles Mission

Los Angeles Mission strives to be a world leader among Missions that provide for the poor, restore the addicted and eliminate homelessness.

We see each individual as a spiritual person of worth and dignity and worthy of assistance in their journey. Our vision is to see individuals and families set free from addictions and homelessness, transformed by God to become physically and spiritually healthy; educationally equipped to participate in society and sustain housing; and encouraged to create relationships of love and service to others. We seek to help those who have been abused and neglected to find a better life. We seek to help those who have become addicted to understand their addictions, to expect physical healing and to live in ways that are healthy to soul, mind and body. (Source)
